~CHELNEE~ ~E-PORTFOLIO~

A blog (a contraction of the term "weblog") is a type of website, usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Entries are commonly displayed in reverse-chronological order. "Blog" can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog.

Many blogs provide commentary or news on a particular subject; others function as more personal online diaries. A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, Web pages, and other media related to its topic. The ability for readers to leave comments in an interactive format is an important part of many blogs. Most blogs are primarily textual, although some focus on art (Art blog), photographs (photoblog), videos (Video blogging), music (MP3 blog), and audio (podcasting). Microblogging is another type of blogging, featuring very short posts.

Reflection:

Before this, I have my own blog. But, it was an informal blog. I use that blog to keep me connecting with my other friends and for my personal purpose such as online diaries. I could know my other friend’s latest news and activity by view theirs blog. I also can follow their story when ever they updated their blog.

For this ICT paper, we have to make and do our own blog or known as E-Portfolio. That’s mean I have to make my new blog that more official and in formal way. In our E-Portfolio, we have to put our content such as Artifacts, Menu, and Reflection and so on. The most important thing that we can put on our E-Portfolio is our Resume. E-Portfolio actually is a folio that we keep save it on our account in the web. The most uses of having our own E-Portfolio are during our interview time. We do not need bring along all of our stuff such when we walk in for interview. We just need to access our E-Portfolio and show the interviewer about us.

From the study of making E-Portfolio, I able to know that I have to keep on the same template for my E-Portfolio so that I will never lost my information in there. But, after discovering and exploration during finishing and completing my E-Portfolio, finally I choose and prefer to use background only rather than use template. I scared that I will get problem if I careless about the template in some other day or in the future that cause me losing all my stuff in my E-Portfolio. Besides that, I also will be able to change my E-Portfolio background every time I think that I have to change it.

By having E-Portfolio, it makes my life easier to keep my information. I just need to access my account when I need and have to do it. But, for the safety and security, we still need keep the hard copy of our folio to prevent us facing problem in our future.
